Dr. Wairimu Mutai is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. She earned her Doctoral Degree in Counselor Ed & Supervision from Kent State University and her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bowling Green State University, both in the state of Ohio. She has worked as a therapist with individuals and families across the lifespan, including immigrants and incarcerated teens. She has also worked as a college professor in Psychology/Counseling both in the USA and abroad as well as a motivational speaker & consultant.
Dr. Mutai utilizes an holistic approach to therapy, exploring individual strengths and background, support networks, environment and other factors to tailor interventions to specific needs. Her goal is to work with the client to help determine and implement change in the most personally meaningful way.
