Dr. Cadorette is a board-certified adult psychiatrist with 30 years of experience in clinical practice. She has worked in both public and private psychiatric treatment settings, including inpatient hospitals, community mental health centers, hospital-based outpatient practices, and in private practice for the past 20 years.
Dr. Cadorette received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Dallas, in Irving, Texas. In 1987, she received her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, subsequently returning to Dallas and completed her 4 year adult psychiatric residency program at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 1991.
Dr. Cadorette's expertise is in the diagnosis and pharmacological treatment of adults with major mood and anxiety disorders, such as Major Depression, Bipolar Disorder, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, and Panic Disorder. She partners with her patients, and collaborates with their families, therapists, and other physicians in developing an overall treatment plan, with the goal of returning the individual to an optimum state of health. She believes strongly in a biopsychosocial model of care and integrating psychopharmacology with psychotherapy to achieve positive changes in one's life.
