About Susannah Tully, LCPC

My name is Susannah Tully, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. I am an experienced clinician with 15+ years of treating individuals across the lifespan, from elementary school students to middle aged adults. I have worked in residential treatment centers for male adolescents and their families, private practice and a community mental health/ substance use treatment center.

Following my experience with residential treatment, I spent several years serving children and families as an Outpatient Clinician in a school-based setting. I then moved from school-based to community-based Outpatient Counseling in the summer of 2018. This treatment focuses primarily on co-occurring and substance use disorders with adolescents and adults. Some of this treatment involved family and couples counseling. Additionally, I provided substance-based treatment and education at Fryeburg Academy through Pequawket Valley Health Initiatives.

Specializations and Treatment Approaches

I have specialized training with adjudicated youth regarding sexual behavior modification, conduct and substance use disorders. This work involved following treatment pathways that began with orientation, entered acknowledgment, accepted responsibility, and finally ended with transition back to family, foster care and/or the community. Here I also provided group counseling on these same themes and topics. I have a great deal of experience with trauma, substance use disorders – including prevention, treatment and recovery, mental health, dual diagnosis, and wellness. My specializations include developing therapeutic rapport to provide ultimate comfort and trust while creating obtainable treatment goals that lead to optimal growth across the lifespan.

Therapeutic Approach

My preferred modalities are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy. My treatment emphasizes a holistic, mindful, spiritual and health-based focus. I practice from a humanistic and positive psychology perspective and believe in post-traumatic growth through adversity and experience.

Age Range Treated:

My preferred clientele is adolescents and adults.
