Sherri M. Bernstein, MS, LCMHC received her Master's degree from New Hampshire College, School of Human Services in 1984 and went on to receive postgraduate studies at Boston University School of Social Work in Advanced Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy. She has practiced for 30 years, working in a variety of outpatient counseling positions, including Greater Manchester Mental Health Center, Child and Family Services, The Counseling Center, and in private group practice settings. Ms. Bernstein has also served as adjunct faculty, teaching undergraduate psychology courses at Southern NH University.
She has received advanced training in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Gentle Reprocessing, Reactive Attachment Disorders, ADHD, Relationship Enhancement Interventions (PREP) and communication skills training for couples as well as Understanding Military Culture to support and counsel military families in all phases of pre and post deployment. She has specialized training in Addictions treatment, including substance use, gambling and sex addiction. She works with children, adolescents, adults, families, couples, and LGBTQ populations around a variety of life challenges and issues, including coping with anxiety, depression, school and work stressors, divorce, and trauma recovery.
