Sara received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology with a concentration in Mental Health Services from Worcester State College and received her Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Antioch University New England. Sara is licensed by the State of New Hampshire, is a National Certified Counselor and is a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with the International Association of Trauma Professionals.
Sara’s many trainings include a variety of theories and techniques and she tailors her approach to the needs of each individual client. Sara utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Narrative Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and has a solution-based and client-centered focus.
Sara spent several years working with those with Substance Use Disorder and co-occurring mental health disorders in New Hampshire. Sara has worked as counselor and advocate for those that have survived Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault in the Manchester area and court system. Sara also spent several years working with adolescents with mental health disorders and with children and adolescents with Developmental Disabilities in NH and Massachusetts.
Sara’s main passion is working with those that struggle with symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress, Anxiety and Panic, Depression, and those who have survived Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. Sara believes that individuals who have struggled with these various negative experiences and disorders can move on to live a happier, more productive life.
