Rita McCabe is a board Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and an Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Rita received a Bachelor's degree in Human Development/Education from Lesley College and a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from Springfield College.
Rita's experience includes advocacy work for children and families, parenting education groups, family education assemblies on substance abuse as well as individual and group therapy in community mental health settings and in private practice. Rita has also worked with individuals struggling with addiction and co-occurring disorders in residential/inpatient settings and partial hospitalization programs. She has been a senior clinician in an inpatient treatment setting.
Rita has a particular interest in working with those who suffer from Anxiety, Depression, personality disorders, Bipolar Disorder, substance abuse and behavioral addictions generally, parenting challenges as well as the ability to help those experiencing difficult life transitions. Rita is knowledgeable about family dynamics and has the ability to assess family dynamics holistically to provide informed and effective treatment.

Rita uses evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Exposure and Response Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and faith-based therapy.
