Nicole is a Licensed Clinical Social worker and a Certified Clinical Supervisor. She earned her Master of Social work degree from the University of New England in 2013. During her internships, Nicole worked in various clinical settings focusing on medical social work, community case management, domestic violence advocacy, and counseling clients with co-occurring disorders. She has since worked in a hospital detox, as a Home-based Community Therapy clinician, and a Primary Therapist at a men’s residential program and has over 10 years of experience. Nicole utilizes several different therapeutic approaches but enjoys motivational interviewing the most.
Nicole provides brief and long-term therapy to adolescents and adults. She also enjoys treating Substance Abuse/Misuse, Families, Asperger’s syndrome, Men’s issues, Women’s issues, Personality Disorder’s, Sleep issues, and Trauma. She helps people live more vulnerably by exploring challenges to trust and connection through processing thoughts, feelings, and emotions. Nicole is interested in working with anyone over the age of 15 who is willing. She is experienced with working with people seeking or living in recovery.
Nicole is a kind and compassionate listener whose goal is to have clients feel safe and work on building a trusting alliance. Her work draws from various evidence-based approaches, including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Brief Solution Focused Therapy. She uses 12 step and mindfulness concepts to assist clients with learning to be more present and accepting of their lives.
