Megan Howell earned her master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts. She is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker who has experience working with adults in various stages of life.
Megan spent many years working in the Hospice and Palliative care setting. She provided stress management, emotional, and grief support to caregivers in addition to those dealing with chronic or end of life medical diagnosis. Megan has worked as a member of a multi-disciplinary team in medical settings as well as in community-based programs. Most recently she has worked in the long-term care setting meeting the needs of residents and families. She has had management responsibility and has provided clinical supervision to those working in this field.
In therapy Megan utilizes a combination of Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with a Strengths-based perspective. Her approach in therapy is dependent upon the needs of the person she is working with. Solution focused, she will work with you to achieve your goals working in this field and enhance your overall quality of life.
