Mrs. Fimbel earned her undergraduate Bachelors degree in Clinical Psychology from Keene State College in 2006 and received her Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling from Rivier University in 2010. Prior to this she worked in a variety of mental health settings over the years, including residential care, brain injury unit, and early intervention.
Ms. Fimbel is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New Hampshire and currently works with clients age 10 and up who are experiencing a wide range of difficulties in their lives.
Mrs. Fimbel has a particular interest in working with clients struggling with: depression/mood disorders, anxiety disorders, emotional over-eating /binge eating/nutrition, life transitions, relationship issues, self-esteem, teen issues, identity formation, self-care, adjustment disorders, pregnancy/fertility/postpartum, divorce/separation/family conflict, anger management, loss/grief, as well as parenting education and career counseling.
She currently runs a Healthy Eating & Wellness group for adults focusing on emotional overeating and general self-care. She has also run an Expressive Arts Therapy group for teens in the past that focuses on identity formation, emotional expression, and self esteem development.
Ms. Fimbel approaches her clinical work with various methods including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness/Meditation, Exposure Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Holistic Therapy, Strengths-Based Approach, Expressive Arts Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
