Hello and welcome to LifeStance! Seeking support can be a challenge and taking the initial step can feel out of reach at times but bringing support into your life can also be the best gift you can give to yourself. I am glad you are here. I am excited and honored about the possibility of partnering with you through your journey.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I earned my Master of Social Work degree from Simmons College in 2015. and my Bachelor of Arts degree in Art Therapy from Emmanuel College in 2008. I have spent the past fourteen years working in a variety of mental health care environments. Throughout this time, I continue to work closely with children, adolescents, adults, and families. I am a born and raised New Englander but spent the last 3.5 years living in the Pacific Northwest. My family and I recently moved from Oregon to New Hampshire to be closer to our loved ones.
My counseling style is warm and interactive. I combine my kindness, humor, creativity, and objectivity in my counseling approach. My practice is rooted in psychotherapy and client-centered therapy through a humanistic lens. I provide culturally competent treatment, with a strong sense of trust in my clients and I value the uniqueness of each person I have an opportunity to meet with. I believe that we all are deserving of realizing and expressing our truest, most authentic selves connected to our capabilities, creativity, and growth. My experience includes having worked in an intensive program treating eating disorders. In that context I have done couples and family-based counseling and am able to make assessments informed by a holistic systems-based approach. I also a familiarity with crisis intervention and crisis stabilization strategies.
