Deborah received her Bachelor of Arts in Applied Behavioral Science from National Louis University in Atlanta Georgia and her Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Antioch New England in Keene, New Hampshire. She completed her first-year internship at Middlesex Day School where she was responsible for providing individual assessments and therapy to students with mental health, developmental, and behavioral challenges. After completing her second-year internship at Eastern State University Counseling Center where she provided assessments, counseling, and psycho education to individuals, couples, and groups. Deborah attended The New Interfaith Seminary for Interfaith Ministry and completed the course as a Minister of Spiritual Counseling. She was ordained at Saint John the Divine Cathedral NYC as an Ordained Interfaith Minister, and began her hospital chaplaincy training with the Tri-Hospital CPE Center Atlanta Georgia. After completing an extended internship at Northside Hospital of Atlanta and two years Residency at St. Joseph’s Hospital of Atlanta. Deborah worked as a hospital chaplain for 22 years with 17 of those years at Concord Hospital where she counseled patients, families, and staff experiencing crisis, chronic illness, life transitions, and various endof-life issues. While working at Concord Hospital she was a member of the Ethics Committee and Holistic Healing Committee (HHC). As a member of the HHC, Deborah helped to develop and implement educational programs for physicians, nurses, and staff in complimentary therapies to help enhance the comfort and wellbeing of patients, families, and staff members including
Reiki and Aroma therapy.

Deborah worked for the past 2 years at an inpatient rehabilitation facility for individuals struggling with dual diagnoses of substance abuse and mental health disorders. Her work included assessments, diagnosis, treatment planning, individual and family counseling as well as group therapy and education for clients and staff. Deborah uses a client centered, strength-based approach to gently identify barriers and helps to develop personalized treatment options to obtain reasonable and sustainable goals.
