Prior to joining The Counseling Center, David was employed at McGuire Air Force Base in New Jersey. He worked closely with RNs, MDs, and Ph.D's in the addiction/mental health field. He is proud to work with our active dedicated members of the armed forces including National Guard, Reserve and active units. Responsibilities include acute crisis intervention, working with all branches of the armed forces including the United States Marines, Army, Navy and Coast Guard.
David received his Master of Social Work from Washington University at George Warren Brown School of Social work in St. Louis Missouri, which was ranked as one of the top social work schools in the nation during his attendance.
His passions are working with couples, parents, and families in dealing with issues of empowerment for survivors of abuse and violence. David attends ongoing trainings on the cumulative negative effects of grief, trauma and/ or attachment trauma. He continues to learn how trauma, particularly attachment trauma, can create delays in emotional, cognitive and brain functioning.
