About Celia Mantovani, LCPC Available June 2022

Celia Mantovani (Pronouns: she, hers) is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with over 25 years of experience providing individual psychotherapy. Her major expertise is Jungian psychotherapy (psychodynamic, Analytical Psychology), for short- or long-term treatment, collaborating with the individual to help them understanding themselves, discovering how to cope with life experiences. Jungian Psychotherapy aims to get access to the individual symbolic representations through art, spirituality, and mythology. Some of the tools utilized in her work include guided imagery, relaxation techniques, dream analysis, art and play therapy (children), and sand tray therapy. Celia also uses other evidence-based strategies such as CBT, ACT, and Motivational Interview, according to each client’s needs, and works in a trauma-informed and culturally informed way. She treats patients between ages 0-100 and provides services in English and Portuguese. In her free time, Celia enjoys the company of her family (husband, sons, and a cat). She loves hiking, camping, bird watching, nature photography, coloring mandalas, reading, and playing the piano.

Celia holds a PhD in Mental Health from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, where she received her training in Psychotherapy. She also completed a specialization in Jungian Psychotherapy at the Nise da Silveira Institute, Ribeirao Preto, Sao Paulo, Brazil, which is a member of the International Association of Analytical Psychology (Zurich, Switzerland.)
