Dr. Bryan Vogel completed his undergraduate work at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he dual-majored in Psychology and Sociology. Dr. Vogel earned his Masters and Doctorate degrees at Chatham University. Training experiences included work in: community mental health clinics, inpatient psychiatric units and private practice settings. Across these settings, Dr. Vogel developed proficiency in working with children, adolescents, adults and geriatric populations.
While on doctoral internship in rural Alaska, Dr. Vogel further refined his skills with multicultural counseling, as well as assessment and substance use-based treatment. He has experience working with children and adolescents with developmental disabilities and providing needed behavioral ""wrap around care"" to this population in home, school and community settings.
Additional skill areas for Dr. Vogel include: individual outpatient therapy, psychological and neurocognitive assessment/testing as well as professional consultation/liaison work. He has training and experience in the dynamics involved in substance abuse with individuals, and in working with the family system in cases involving chemical dependency. Additionally, his sphere of practice includes working with those having a substance abuse problem co-occurring with a mood disorder. Dr. Vogel has had training and experience with trauma victims and those experiencing posttraumatic stress.
