Dr. Bobby Morton is licensed in the States of Maine and New Hampshire as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) and is certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center as an Adult Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). He is DEA certified to prescribe medications.
Dr. Morton completed his undergraduate nursing degree at University of Southern Maine in Portland, Maine and practiced in high acuity environments such as cardiovascular, trauma, and surgical intensive care units as well as emergency departments. Wanting to take on a more active role in assisting people to manage their own health, Dr. Morton attended Husson University in Bangor, Maine for graduate work and completed his Masters in Nursing Science to become certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse. Dr. Morton then attended Wilkes University in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania and obtained his Doctorate Degree. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Morton has taught undergraduate and graduate courses as an Adjunct Professor for Purdue University Global.
Dr. Morton has a broad range of experience in providing mental health and psychiatric care. He has worked in state psychiatric hospitals, community hospitals (adult mental health units, substance use recovery units, and geriatric psychiatric units), community-based clinics and has operated his own telehealth private practice for several years. He is a strong advocate for delivering excellent care through telehealth and collaborating with other healthcare professionals in order to provide integrated care. Dr. Morton is also a Military Veteran and has worked in several First Responder roles.
