Barry Lewis, PsyD, has more than 10 years of experience in the field of mental health. He has worked in community mental health, residential, and general outpatient settings. Dr. Lewis obtained a bachelor’s degree in history and psychology from Colby-Sawyer College, a master’s degree in mental health counseling and a doctor of psychology degree from Rivier University.
Dr. Lewis’s specialty areas include depression, anxiety, substance use problems, trauma, grief and loss, stage-of-life problems, interpersonal problems, and group therapy. Dr. Lewis practices from an orientation that integrates cognitive-behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, person-centered therapy, and motivational interviewing. He has experience providing individual, group, and family treatment to adults, children, and adolescents.
