Andrea Kreisz is a licensed Marital and Family Therapy with experience with individuals, couples, and families. She has worked for many years providing individual therapy for both children and adults on an outpatient basis. Andrea worked most recently within an inpatient treatment setting providing services to adults and families with addiction and co-occurring mental health issues, focusing on helping to support families in the process of healing from addiction. She has worked in multi-disciplinary practices, in school based settings, and have also collaborated with providers for behavioral therapy both in school, in the home, and in the community.
Andrea specialize in trauma work and attachment issues, as well as co-occurring disorders with mental health and substance use. She also has expertise in working with anxiety, depression, PTSD, and experience with EMDR treatment as well as DBT approaches. Andrea prefers to use Interpersonal Neurobiology and narrative therapy frameworks to guide her clinical work, and believes strongly in the importance of healthy relationships to foster healing and growth. She has experience working with adults and children with anxiety, depression, substance abuse issues, self-harmful behaviors, self-esteem and sexuality issues, and has worked with families in foster care and adoption settings.
Andrea enjoys working with a range of ages, starting from age 5 and up, however she enjoys working most with preteens and adolescents, as well as younger adults and developing professionals.
