Rachel Orr, Psy.D.

Dr. Rachel Orr has been a long-time resident of New Hampshire and graduated summa cum
laude with a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from the University of New Hampshire. She earned her
graduate degrees, Master of Science (MS) and Doctor of Psychology (PsyD), in clinical
psychology from Loyola University Maryland in Baltimore.
Dr. Orr obtained specialized training with individuals across the lifespan, at various developmental
levels. While in graduate school in Baltimore, she trained in pediatrics at Kennedy Krieger
Institute in the Oncology and Epilepsy Clinics, and with adults at Johns Hopkins School of
Medicine in the NeuroRehabilitation Program. She then moved back to New Hampshire and
completed her internship with adults at the VA Boston Healthcare System with a foci in
neuropsychology, rehabilitation interventions, and geriatrics. Dr. Orr obtained postdoctoral
fellowship training in clinical neuropsychology with Harvard Partners Consortium, with rotations
evaluating individuals across the lifespan at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and
Women’s Hospital, and she then transitioned into private practice to complete her fellowship with
a balanced focus on her own expanding family.
Among her many achievements, Dr. Orr completed both her oral and written clinical
competencies with "distinction" and was awarded the Graduate Medal for Achievement
Excellence in Psychology from her graduate university. She was also a Presidential Scholar at
the University of New Hampshire and was awarded the Movers and Shakers Award for leadership,
academic achievement, and contributions to the community during her senior year there. She
periodically serves as an adjunct professor at the University of New Hampshire teaching
statistics, psychobiology, and/or counseling, and she has been a lead or contributing author for
several professional journal articles and a book chapter, including some under current review.
Dr. Orr specializes in providing neuropsychological evaluations across the lifespan to children,
adolescents, and adults. She is experienced in evaluating cognitive functioning, behavioral
tendencies, social cognition, and psychiatric and emotional symptoms with varying degrees of
complexity, all while considering the individual’s developmental level. She currently provides
neuropsychological and psychological evaluations to children, adolescents, and adults (including
geriatrics) with a wide variety of presenting concerns.
