M. Lee Leppanen, Psy.D.
Licensed Psychologist

Dr. Leppanen received her Master of Science and Doctor of Psychology degrees from Antioch University New England. She also holds an advanced degree in nursing (MN, University of Washington, Seattle). Dr. Leppanen obtained her clinical training at New Hampshire Hospital and Veterans Administration Medical Center in Vermont, and also completed a predoctoral internship and a postdoctoral residency at Pennsylvania Counseling Services in Lebanon, Pennsylvania where she received extensive training in substance misuse issues and mental health problems focusing on mood disorders. She is licensed in New Hampshire as a Psychologist, and as a Master Alcohol and Drug Counselor.

Dr. Leppanen is a member of the American Psychological Association and the New Hampshire Psychological Association. She serves as adjunct faculty at Antioch University New England teaching advanced seminars in the Doctoral Program in Clinical Psychology.

Dr. Leppanen provides individual psychotherapy for adults and older adolescents, and group psychotherapy. Her specialty interests include helping individuals struggling with mood disorders such as depression and anxiety, substance abuse/dependence, and personality disorders. She also specializes in lifespan development and transitions, and concerns such as grief and loss, career issues, and developing positive approaches to coping with life stresses and problems. Dr. Leppanen's approach emphasizes a collaborative therapist-patient relationship that integrates psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and positive psychology perspectives.
