Range of Services
Caroline Belt graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor's in Psychology,
and The Ohio State University (OSU) with a Master's of Social Work (MSW) and Master's (MA)
At Notre Dame, Caroline collaborated on research projects involving the effects on marital
conflict on children's emotional security, and prior to graduate school spent two years at
Massachusetts General Hospital working with children and families with mood disorders.
During graduate school, she obtained clinical experience at The Ohio State University's
Wexner Medical Center's Child and Adolescent Inpatient Unit, and at The Ohio State
University's Counseling and Consultation Service (CCS), providing individual, couples, and
group therapy as well as crisis and care management to students at the university. After her
two graduate degrees, she completed a post-MSW clinical fellowship at The Ohio State
University's Counseling and Consultation Service.
In addition to graduate school clinical experience, Caroline has worked at various
Nationwide Children's Hospital's outpatient behavioral health centers providing individual
and group therapy to children, adolescents, and families, and she has worked at Netcare, a
community crisis center providing crisis services to children, adolescents, and adults in need.
The populations with whom Caroline has worked have been diverse with respect to age,
race, ethnicity, religious background, gender and sexual identity, socioeconomic
background, and presenting concerns. She has particular interest in working with clients who
present with anxiety, depression, OCD, dysfunctional family of origin issues, trauma, and
relationship concerns. Caroline's theoretical orientation is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral
Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), but she incorporates components of
other modalities, including Solution Focused Therapy and Family Systems, as needed.
Caroline enjoys establishing and maintaining a collaborative relationship with clients in
order to support them in meeting their goals and enhance their well-being.
