Andrew Prokopis, Psy.D.

Dr. Prokopis earned his undergraduate degree in Behavioral Sciences from Lesley University in Cambridge, MA where he majored in counseling psychology. He then earned his Master's Degree in Education from Harvard Graduate School of Education, where he studied human development across the lifespan and counseling prior to earning his Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology from Antioch New England Graduate School in Keene, NH. Dr. Prokopis also received training and supervision through The Concord Institute, with an emphasis on integrating psycho-spiritual and religious perspectives and issues into psychotherapy and psychology in general. He is a life-long student of the connections between spirituality, religion, and psychology, and has a strong interest in personal growth and development across the life span. He has been trained in the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model and approaches his work primarily from this perspective.

Dr. Prokopis has worked in a variety of clinical settings throughout his career, including school and educational systems, residential treatment programs, domestic violence counseling programs, community health clinics, psychiatric facilities, and private and group counseling practices. As a senior psychologist, he has provided clinical supervision and training for staff and students across a variety of the settings he has worked in, with a particular emphasis in training and consulting to programs providing care to individuals with developmental disabilities, and more recently in clinical outpatient and residential care settings. Dr. Prokopis is licensed to practice in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and California.

Dr. Prokopis provides clinical psychological services to individuals, groups, families, and couples, including psychotherapy and psychological assessments. He maintains a general practice, which includes providing counseling and assessment to children, adolescents, and adults. He has particular specialty interests in working with individuals with trauma, behavioral challenges, interpersonal and family issues, and psycho-spiritual concerns. He has a unique passion for mind/body, mindfulness, and psycho-spiritual approaches to addressing the challenges that individuals face. He also works with death and dying, grief and loss.
