Dr. Cheryl Withka obtained her Master's of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology from West Chester University in West Chester, Pennsylvania, and completed her doctoral degree in School-Clinical-Child Psychology from Pace University in New York. As part of her degree training, she obtained intensive clinical experience in a public school setting prior to completing her American Psychological Association accredited internship at Trinitas Hospital in Elizabeth, New Jersey where she provided therapeutic and assessment services to children, adolescents and adults within inpatient, outpatient and partial care settings. Although she has treated individuals from early childhood through adulthood, her work has concentrated on providing evaluations and treatment of children (birth through twelve), adolescents, young adults, parents and families. She has worked in a variety of settings including providing clinical and consultation services within outpatient, inpatient and partial-hospital environments, private practice, public and private schools, and universities as well as within business settings. She is licensed as a psychologist in the state of New Hampshire and is certified as a school psychologist in New Hampshire, Massachusetts and New Jersey. Dr. Withka is an active member of the New Hampshire Psychological Association as well as the National Association of School Psychologists.

Dr. Withka works collaboratively with clients, parents and families. She draws from a variety of treatment approaches based on the needs and strengths of each client including brief therapeutic interventions, cognitive-behavioral therapy techniques, social skills training, interpersonal psychotherapy as well as play therapy. Although, she treats a range of clinical issues such as depression, anxiety, mood disorders, childhood behavioral disorders, ADHD, learning issues and self-injury, she has a strong interest and expertise in assessing and treating individuals with autism spectrum disorders as well as the co-occurring conditions often present with ASD such as anxiety, depression and challenges managing life transitions. Dr. Withka has significant experience working collaboratively with school districts and in helping parents understand and navigate securing appropriate educational support services needed for their child to be successful in academic settings. In addition to providing outpatient psychotherapeutic services, she also performs psychological and psychoeducational evaluations of children and adults. She utilizes neuropsychological measures as part of her assessment of children and adolescents for the purpose of diagnostic clarification and in order to better understand learning concerns, memory problems, ADHD, ASD and emotional concerns
